She was previously chief technology officer at Systinet, a SOA governance vendor that's now part of Hewlett-Packard Co., and director of market innovation in Sun Microsystems Inc.'s software group. With 28 years of experience, she was named one of the 50 most powerful people in networking by Network World in 2002, and she was among Enterprise Systems Journal's Power 100 IT Leaders.
Thomas Manes has authored Web Services: A Manager's Guide, published by Addison-Wesley, and participated in Web services standards development efforts at organizations including the World Wide Web Consortium, the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards and the Web Services Interoperability Organization.
