While Apple is reporting a whopping 5 million iPhone 5 smartphones sold in the first three days on the market, insiders report that the release had disappointing sales overall.
An alarming number of problems have been reported with the new iPhone 5. Bloggers are indicating that the display finish on the phone is easily scratched and chipped. Many new owners are reporting that there were scuffs and scratches on their new phones before they even got a chance to fire them up -- that's right, more than a third of the users on a MacRumors forum poll are reporting that their iPhone 5 was scuffed straight out of the box. Also alarming is the iPhone 5 coverage detailing light leaks between the smartphone's glass display and the outer case/antennae. And not to pile on, but users are also reporting that the iPhone 5 battery life isn't matching that of its previous incarnations.
