The Naked Truth About Telecommuters - (mobile workforce)

SonicWALL Inc., a Sunnyvale, Calif., provider of network security, recently surveyed more than 900 remote employees to determine at-home work habits, and some of the results fall into the category of TMI (too much information). Some of these workers aren't bothering to shower or dress -- but they are wearing a smile. More than 80% say they never lose their temper with IT support teams. Here are some other survey highlights:

GOOD NEWS: 76% of respondents say working remotely makes them more productive, even though 21% admit to taking an afternoon nap.

BAD NEWS: 88% store passwords in obvious locations.

DOWN AND DIRTY: 44% of women shower, versus 30% of men (but 33% of the guys shave!).

BUFFING IT: 12% of men and 7% of women work in their birthday suits.

CLEANING UP: 18% of men take breaks for household chores, compared with 38% of women.

VEGGING OUT: Finally, 28% of all respondents say they have watched TV during the workday. (The number of nude, unshaven TV viewers not available, thankfully.)
