Taping and transcribing presentations and briefings is so tedious. It's like attending the same meeting twice. But Livescribe Inc.'s Smartpen promises to change all that.

With a feature called "Paper Replay,"

the pen records audio while you take notes. And here's the wow factor: It digitally syncs audio with your handwriting. Later, when you pass the pen over a word you've written, the pen replays what was said at the time. While this handy scribe tool, which costs about $200, won't be available until later this year, I'm already getting the word out.
