What's a traveling CIO to do? Get the Clocky, a mobile clock. I talked to creator Gauri Nanda, who unveiled the Clocky prototype last year when she was a student at MIT. "I had friends who told me that they would put the alarm clock on the other side of the room," she says. "But they would just sleepwalk over to it, turn it off and go right back to bed."
Now she's made this timepiece-on-wheels available commercially. Clocky allows you only one snooze period. Then its spinning wheels move it right off your bedside table and around the room so you have to rouse to shut it off. That'll get you moving.
Clocky is priced at $49.99 and can be purchased at www.nandahome.com. See you at the morning keynote.
