  • An old pro takes the CIO reins at $449-million Netgear Inc. in Santa Clara, Calif. Tom Holt, who has 30 years of experience at technology companies, comes to Netgear from Lucent Technologies Inc., where he served as vice president of IT strategy and planning.
  • Two midsized firms named their first CIOs: Corporate Office Properties Trust of Columbia, Md., which has $329 million in revenue, named Stephen B. Kutzer as its chief information officer; and after 97 years in business, corporate law firm Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP of Dallas, with $133 million in revenue, also welcomed its first CIO, Kenneth Orgeron.
  • Carson, Calif.-based New Age Electronics Inc., with $354 million in revenue, has appointed Sam Changizi as CIO. Previously, he served as the company's director of IT.
  • And the $930-million restaurant chain O'Charley's Inc. in Nashville, Tenn., named Leon De Wet as its new CIO. De Wet, who formerly served as vice president of business intelligence and strategic systems for Brinker International Inc. in Dallas, takes over for O'Charley's retiring CIO Jim Gray.
