DESCRIPTION: As one of the scariest movies of all time, The Exorcist was a movie with a message: Never underestimate a demon. That same advice can be applied to planning for a disaster. In fact, there are a slew of correlations between disaster recovery planning and the frightening scenarios played out on the big screen.
So in recognition of Halloween, SearchCIO-Midmarket.com executive editor Kate Evans-Correia has taken a lighter approach to discussing disaster planning and recovery, asking IBM's business continuity expert Pat Corcoran to talk about movies and the lessons they can teach CIOs about how not to get spooked by the disaster ghouls.
BIOGRAPHY: Corcoran is a global client solutions executive with IBM Global Technology and Business Continuity & Resiliency Services. A 32-year IBM veteran, he led numerous efforts to create a number of new programs, including business recovery services.
