Blogger

Blogger is a free Web log service from Google that allows members to share text, photos and videos.

Blogger was launched by Pyra Labs in San Francisco in August 1999 and purchased by Google in February 2003. In 2004, Google purchased Picasa and its photo-sharing utility, Hello, integrating both into Blogger. In 2009, Google introduced a number of new features, including geo-tagging, link editing in the Compose View (not just HTML), and width and size approximation in Preview mode.

Currently, Blogger offers private and multi-user blogs with customized templates, time-stamped entries, archive pages, commenting capabilities and the ability to generate revenue from Google's AdSense. Blogger also provides members with a "BlogThis!" Google Toolbar feature, a Blogger for Word add-in for Microsoft Word and the abilitity to add Blogger posts to a Google+ account. Blogger Mobile is available for Android and iOS mobile devices.
