I try not to recommend specific vendor products. If you only need file access, I would set up a NAS device for storage over your Ethernet. That will be the least expensive for shared access to data. There are many, many offerings. You might want to look at a solution that includes backup. It's very easy to set up a NAS device, and you shouldn't need any special training.
